Bar chords
Bar Chords!! Bar chords are so called because you bar (barre) across the strings with the index finger and use the other fingers to play the other notes in the chord. By doing this you can keep your fingers in the same pattern and just move that pattern up and down the fretboard to change the key of the chord. Although simple, the bar chords take some getting used to and you have to work at holding the strings down without touching others. It’s important when playing bar chords to have a good firm grip clamping the back of the neck with your thumb.
