Chromatic Order + Octaves + Play All Notes
Chromatic Order
Let’s look at all the notes on the Ukulele.
There are 12 notes in the chromatic scale, A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G# (there is no B# or E#)
As you play the string each fret makes a different note in order working up the fret board. A string produces a note 1 octave higher on the 12th fret. Then the notes repeat after the 12 fret.
This diagram shows every note on the Ukulele.
Try playing every single note. Use all 4 fingers.
You have already learnt the chord C major now let’s try F which is another easy chord and it works well with C. In the next lesson we’ll bring these together with another chord to make a song. Play the F major chord strumming 4 times per bar. Also practice the C major chord from last lesson.
